40 x 40

an exhibition of self-portraits by women over the age of 40.

Nineteen "over forty" Chicago-area women artists have been chosen to create a self-portrait in the medium and style they choose as long as the art depicts how they currently see themselves. The theme of the show – I Celebrate Myself – A Self Portrait – is reflected in their pieces which were newly created for this exhibition.    Proceeds from the exhibition are split equally between the artist and the Women for Women Foundation.
