Patrick Carr Patrick Carr was born and raised in Albia, Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he learned about and came to love photography. He has worked as a photographer and graphic artist since 1989. He enjoys exploring with his camera and can frequently be found wandering through alleys, just to see what he can find, and is rarely disappointed. When not wandering the city, he is in his darkroom, making traditional gelatin silver prints. He lives with his wife, painter and sculptor Caryl Carlsen.

Larry Greenberg Having blown off my required high school art class in 1964, I decided to take up pencil, charcoal and pastel in 2018. I am happy to have had the mentorship and guidance of Sabina West at the Skokie Park District studio and the Life Drawing experience of the Skokie Art Guild to develop my skills. I am most interested in capturing human form and visage, especially in unusual situations and expressions.

Jacqueline Moses Jackie Moses'
artwork is often taken from real life experiences, captured in photos
and then re-interpreted. Jackie has a BFA from the School of
the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Northern Illinois
University. Her artwork is widely collected, with several
exhibitions in Chicago, Costa Rica and Hawaii; and is in the collections
of the Midwest Museum of Art and the Rockford Art Museum. "In the past few years I have been painting images derived from my travels and projecting my views for the future. All of these countries have been affected by technological developments and population growth. As a result, life styles of the people have altered, either due to environmental shifts or politically enforced such as relocation of farmers into government built city dwellings. We have all been affected by global changes, some more than others."

Pamela Sloan "My current art begins with a simple yet powerful process: I bury paper in the soil and let nature take the lead. The elements, time, and earth's organisms work together to decompose the paper, leaving behind a textured canvas of unexpected beauty. This collaboration with nature is a central theme in my work. I view the decomposition of paper as a metaphor for life's unpredictable journey and the resilience of creativity. When I unearth the paper, I continue the artistic process by adding elements that complement and enhance the organic textures created by nature. Through my art, I aim to remind viewer of our role as a species within the Earth’s environment, and the potential for renewal that lies just beneath the surface." Ms. Sloan has a BFA is Visual Art, MFA in Architecture, and MEd in Educational Leadership. She is an architect, educator, and environmental activist. Pam’s art is used to fund environment causes. Inspiration for her art comes from conservation efforts to protect native ecosystems and vulnerable to endangered species.

Sharon Swidler Inspired by the atmosphere. Simple and complex: I am fascinated by space: actual, personal, psychological, and how real, mental and emotion interruptions pierce or glide through space (clouds, utility lines, trees, thoughts). I obscure boundaries between binaries; natural/man-made line and form, interior/exterior environments, to symbolize our continuous transformation as we navigate through our ever-changing surroundings. In recent years, my paintings have become meditative; spaces in which to reflect on the simultaneous simplicity and complexity of this flow of being. Sharon Swidler creates paintings and drawings which incorporate minimalism, colorfield and landscape. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is included in private collections throughout the U.S. Sharon earned a BA and MFA in Drawing & Painting from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She teaches Design, Drawing and Women & the Arts at the college level, and is currently an adjunct instructor at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Illinois. Her artworks were recently exhibited in Anatomically Correct Art's exhibition Home is Where the ART is and Home at the Devonshire Cultural Center. |

Dessi Vasevski Dessi's lifelong love for art was ignited during her childhood, where she received invaluable lessons from her father, a prominent artist in their family. She has developed a deep affinity for watercolors and ink, making them her preferred mediums of expression. As a freelance illustrator, Dessi achieved a significant milestone with the publication of her first children's book in July of 2021. Yet, Dessi's creativity extends well beyond her studio. An enthusiastic traveler, she always carries an art journal, eager to document her life's experiences in vibrant sketches and paintings. Her art serves as a visual diary, capturing the essence of her journeys. What sets Dessi apart is not just her artistic talent but also her ability to speak four languages fluently, including English, Bulgarian (a nod to her roots), French, and Italian, enriching her ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures through her artwork.

Kate Wyatt Kate is a fine artist and painter who was inspired by a pandemic hobby to create DIY embroidery kits with designs based on her botanical watercolor paintings. Her paintings focus on the beautiful color variations and blocks of color that make up a plant. Her painting style perfectly compliments these paint-by-number style kits, allowing the hobbyist to create a masterpiece of their own. Perfect for gifting or treating yourself, kits come with all you need to get started. When she isn't outside enjoying nature with her family, Kate is inside painting (or embroidering) it. Her favorite place to visit is the mountains, and she loves sharing her art at markets and art shows.
