Susan Baim
I have done some type of artwork my whole life, but about 20-some years ago I discovered the wonders of polymer clay, and I have never looked back. There is so much that can be done with this medium, from sculpting to painting with clay. My favorites are using different techniques to make beautiful surfaces, as well as different ways to manipulate colored clays to make interesting and exciting (or subtle) patterns. I make everything from earrings and pendants to trinket bowls to mosaic wall hangings. The more colorful a piece is, the happier I am. In addition to polymer clay, I make beaded jewelry using various bead stitches. I also like making gel plate prints to be used as collage papers. Lately, I have been learning how to make flowers using crepe paper. This is Susan's third exhibition with Anatomically Correct Arts.
Poppies
Polymer Clay, Mixed Media, 8 x 10"
$160
This piece shows my love of red poppies! The handmade tiles are made with different colors of polymer clay manipulated to give depth and feeling to the background. The flowers and leaves are hand sculpted and embellished with Pan Pastels and gold acrylic paint pens, and the poppies have been finished with polyurethane gloss varnish.
Hearts and Flowers
Polymer Clay, Mixed Media, 8 x 10"
$160
I love working with hearts, and I love sculpting flowers. So, I decided to put them together in one mosaic. This piece is made with black polymer clay that has been colored with a topical application of mica powders. Some of the flowers are embellished with Swarovski crystals. The piece is finished with polyurethane gloss varnish.
Happy Roses
Polymer Clay, Mixed Media, 8 x 10"
$160
In this piece I wanted to blend different colors of polymer clay to make an unusual bouquet of flowers set on a background of happy-colored tiles. Some of the roses are embellished with glass beads, and other flowers are embellished with Swarovski crystals. Mica powder was added for a pop of sparkle.

JOYCE ELIAS
I’m a mixed media artist influenced by color, light and nature. I enjoy combining disparate imagery while striving for a fresh cohesive vision. This series began to take place last fall with a newly purchased black paper sketchbook. Working from black as a base informed each one of these collages. The creative process is as important to me as the outcome of the finished piece. Creating art is all about establishing a flow. This is Joyce's first exhibition with Anatomically Correct Arts.

She enjoys creating fine art, graphic art and photography and mixing all these elements together. Her art work is mixed media in nature including acrylic paint, paper, wood, photography, and found objects. Many of her ideas, themes and content explore personal space and spirituality through architectural or natural elements. "I like building things. I like the tangible feeling of materials and sometimes these ideas develop into paintings, photography, collage and or three dimensional structures. After many years of creating art, I have different series of work all of which have their own deeper symbolism and meaning pertaining to the pieces in the series."
My paintings celebrate the spirit and inner beauty of the seemingly commonplace urban environment in which we live. My love of architecture and florals influences the content of these paintings. I love finding the life and beauty amongst the buildings as you walk down the street.
My photographs shared here take us out of the city and into the country on a visit to Giverny's Monet Garden. These are straight-on shots on a beautiful sunny day, no photo editing or retouching.
This is Maria's third exhibition with Anatomically Correct Arts.

KENNY LAPINS
Kenny Lapins’ paintings are inspired by the Fauvist movement of the early 1900s, showcasing a vivid, expressionistic, and non‑naturalistic use of color. Through the juxtaposition of expressing modern scenes in a venerable style, Kenny presents his view of the world: the environments in which we live and work are full of art — angles, patterns and palettes can be found all around us if we choose to see them. His hope is that we are left infused with what William Wordsworth called, “that blessed mood, in which the burthen of the mystery, in which the heavy and the weary weight of all this unintelligible world, is lightened.” This is Kenny's first exhibition with Anatomically Correct Arts.

All things beautiful fascinate me, be it nature or the human spirit. I derive great pleasure in depicting the beauty of nature on canvas using oil, acrylic and watercolor mediums. The ever-changing landscape, wildlife, birds, flowers, trees, gardens, mountains, water, clouds, everything in nature provide endless inspiration for my artistic creations. I work in oil, acrylic and watercolor mediums. I take advantage of the unique qualities of each medium and choose the medium that best compliments the subject. She is a member of Lake County Art League, North Shore Art League, and Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art at College of Lake County. Her work has been exhibit at Volo Bog, Bluemoon Gallery, and Dandelion Gallery. PAMELA SLOAN
As an artist who is deeply inspired by the natural world, my work is an exploration of the interdependence between all living things and their environment. I seek to create art that not only captures the beauty and complexity of the natural world but also reflects the urgent need to protect it. Presently, Pam’s work is branching underground merging lifeforms from soil into her art via weathered paper.
Pam Sloan is an artist with prior careers in architecture and education. She holds BFA, MA, and MEd degrees.
The Rusty-Patched Bumble Bee is classified as Critically Endangered.
The Regal Fritillary can be spotted in prairies where its host plant, the Bird-Foot Violet, grows. About 3-4 inches wide, this beautiful butterfly’s life cycle is coordinated with native prairie flower growth for nectar, and violets to sustain their eggs. Their population has diminished greatly due to loss of habitat.
This is her third exhibition with Anatomically Correct Arts.
